A-Eskwadraat is the students association for those students of Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Science, Physics and Astronomy at Utrecht University. We organise all sorts of activities for our members, like trips to foreign countries (and their universities), but you can also order and buy books, and we organise sport tournaments and other social gatherings.
Unfortunately, most of our pages are at present only available in Dutch. But still, you can have a look around.
Most important probably is our Bookweb. This is where members of our association can order their books. To have a look, click here.
We have lots of committees, for travel, for sports, for computers, for parties, and much more. Here you can look at all our committees, but their pages are mostly in Dutch. We have also a committee that takes photographs of our activities, ViCie, and you can see all their photographs here.
And, last but not least, you can use the members-only part of our website, where only our members can find information about nearly all other members of our association, like their addresses or phone numbers. You should create a login, which is very easy. Just click help! under the login box.
A-Eskwadraat has three rooms which are all in the Buys Ballot Labaratorium. The roomnumbers are 473, 519 and 520, these are on the fourth and fifth floor of the building. Room 520 is the place where you can get coffee and other drinks, where you can read a newspaper, or talk with other students. Next door in 519 there are computers to do committee work.
Room 473 is the room where we sell the books. (In Dutch called boekverkoopkamer).
If you want to become a member, just come around in 520 or 473, and we will give you a registration form. Membership costs are for BSc students 30 euro for the first year, and nil for all other years. For MSc students it's 10 euro for the first and nil for the other years. You can pay in room 473. Room number 520 is opened from 8.45 am till 17.30 from Monday to Friday.
