Flow Traders is looking for an Graduate Trading Ops/DevOps Engineer to join our growing Trading Support team in Amsterdam. We are looking for a motivated individual with an interest in financial markets and new technology. You will be working with highly skilled and motivated colleagues across the business.

As a member of our Trading Operations Team, you will drive operational excellence across the trading infrastructure, analyze the performance and stability of our trading systems, as well as the related hardware. In this role, you will act as an SRE, Operations Engineer and Developer.

What you will do

• Respond quickly to operational issues for trading technology stack
• Optimize our trading application infrastructure by improving existing automation tools and developing new ones
• Contribute towards our effort to improve on our CI/CD pipeline
• Learn about all the technologies that drive trading decisions and become a subject matter expert
• Analyze trade events to identify technical inefficiencies
• Enhance the monitoring, alerting and incident resolution workflow
• Collaborate with developers to design new and improved in house applications

What you need to succeed

• University degree in Computer Science, Maths or other quantitative fields
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems
• Proficiency with any of the flowing programming languages (Python, Go, JavaScript, C++)
• Basic Networking related skills
• Knowledge or interest in technologies such as Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, HDFS is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
• A hands-on mentality, self-starter and entrepreneurial mind-set
