1.  LaTeX-course (information for 2019-2020)

This event has passed. The event is shown here for the purpose of archivation. As it can never be guaranteed everything will stay available on the site, we recommend you to download the files you need.

Starting at the 23th of September 2019 the TeXniCie of A–Eskwadraat will hold a series of 4 courses about LaTeX. The course will be given on Mondays from 5 to 7 pm. On this page you can find the documents and information concerning this course.

How does it work?

You have to subscribe for the course. You can do that here. For the first week you don't need prior knowledge. We will explain how you can install LaTeX on your laptop. In the following weeks the information off earlier weeks might be required.

As there are only a few computers (if any) available, we ask you to bring your own laptop.

2.  Thesis course (information for 2019-2020)

This event has passed. The event is shown here for the purpose of archivation. As it can never be guaranteed everything will stay available on the site, we recommend you to download the files you need.
Important: the zip of the scription thesis course had a missing image. For this reason some files couldn't compile. The solution is to copy /Presentation/aes2logo-rood.eps to /aes2logo-rood.eps. The zip file below is corrected for this.

The TeXniCie has made a thesis template to help you out writing your thesis with LaTeX. This document is both a manual (showing certain commands) and a template for a thesis. You can download it at Thesis manual (Version 2020).

3.  Question & Answer

Question: References don't appear in the bibliography. Biber shows this reference as (book, label). How do I fix it?
Answer: Set Biber as the default bibliography manager (see thesis manual). With some older LaTeX distributions Biber is missing. Biber is often installed in C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.9\miktex\bin\x64. Is it missing? Update MiKTeX, or, in the worst case, reinstall MiKTeX.
